Phil Talamo is the senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions, and strategic innovation, at MJH Life Sciences®, where he is focused on growth through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and new lines of business. He has deep and diverse experience in medical communications and is recognized as a thought leader and speaker at various industry conferences.
Phil began his career as an intern with MJH Life Sciences® before graduating from Cornell University with a double major in government and history. With this background, he contributed to the expansion of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) media group through the passage of the Affordable Care Act, as well as the creation of the AJMC® Evidence-Based Oncology platform.
After the acquisition of Physicians’ Education Resource®, LLC (PER®) by MJH Life Sciences®, Phil transitioned to the accredited education division to focus on building a next-generation continuing medical education company. He was elevated to president of PER® in 2015, launching several new annual marquee-style meetings, satellite symposia, and interactive formats as well as leading the diversification of product lines, establishment in new disease states, and implementation of scalable operations.
